About

Hello, and welcome to my humble blog. My name is Angela Van Lierop. I’m a wife, mother, and pastor over at Eastside Foursquare Church, in Bothell, Washington. This blog consists of my personal thoughts, reflections, and even some lamentations on my life and experiences of following Christ.

If you are interested, here are some little “fun facts” about me:

Married to Paul.

Mother to Timothy, and Silas, and little Magdalene.

Likes writing.

Likes spending time with friends and extended family.

Loves and follows Jesus.

Likes gummy candies and chocolate.

Likes coffee and English tea.

A graduate of Northwest University (Kirkland, WA) – with a Master’s degree in Ministry.

Enjoys planning and speaking at women’s ministry events.

Does not enjoy cleaning her house, but understands that it is a labor of love… and sometimes does it.

Has a B.A. Degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies from Western Washington University (Bellingham, WA).

Has grown up in and currently resides in the Pacific Northwest… she loves trees, moss, etc.

Enjoys many active pursuits, such as biking, skiing, hiking, camping, gardening, ice hockey, softball, and kayaking.

Spends a lot of time sitting on the floor playing with her kids.

Enjoys reading and learning – hopes to have a teachable heart all the days of her life.

Angela owes the inspiration for “Holy Leisure” to Richard Foster in his classic spiritual formation primer, Celebration of Discipline.
